The tasks in brief

The duration of the project CLIMATE COMPASS is from April 2004 to September 2006. It consists of seven work packages:


1. Research of similar methods of other organisations and networks, evaluation of the experiences gathered and check against the Climate Alliance methodology (APR - JUN 04)
2. Development of a draft methodology and consultation with local authorities well advanced in local climate change policies (JUL - SEP 04)
3. Application of CLIMATE COMPASS in pilot local authorities in different EU Member States, inclusion of gained experiences and detailed elaboration of methodology (OKT 04 - JUL 05)
4. Development of a training programme for promotors, search for potential promotors incl. introductory workshops in various countries (AUG 05 - MAR 06)
5. Accomplishment of the training programme (APR - MAY 06)
6. Consolidation of training programme und final elaboration of supporting material for promotors and local authorities (JUN - AUG 06)
7. Dissemination and preparation of future trainings (SEP 06 - ...)
